Trauma Reprocessing Session
A gentle and guided process to support healing at the root
Service Description
Trauma is often misunderstood. It isn’t always about extreme events or what happened to us—it’s about what happened inside us in response to something that felt too much, too fast, or too soon. Thanks to the latest discoveries in neuroscience, we now understand how certain experiences can become encoded in a traumatic way. When we experience something that feels threatening (and by “threatening,” this doesn’t have to mean life-threatening—simply that something meaningful to us is at risk), and there's also a perceived sense of inescapability—physically or emotionally—the brain’s threat-detection system becomes highly activated. A small structure in the brain called the amygdala stores this information in an amplified way, as a protective measure. While this response is adaptive in the moment, it can leave a lingering imprint. We may find ourselves feeling anxious, reactive, disconnected, or stuck in patterns we don’t understand—sometimes long after the original experience has passed. In a Trauma Healing Session, I gently guide you toward the underlying source of what you're experiencing—without the need to re-live or re-traumatize. Using a blend of trauma-informed and integrative techniques, we work together to create space for new understanding, internal safety, and meaningful shifts in how you relate to yourself and your past. Many people notice that the impact of this work naturally ripples into other areas of their lives—bringing more clarity, emotional ease, and choice.
